What is the recommended minimum internet connection to use your service?

We recommend a minimum of a 1mb ADSL connection - you can test your connection here or ask your internet provider if in doubt as to what speed you have. As a general rule if you have any kind of broadband internet (as opposed to the old dial-up) you will be fine. You are welcome to try the service if you have a slower connection than this and you will at least be able to download those programmes which the BBC makes available for download and then watch them from your hard drive. If you are not satisfied please let us know within seven days and we will refund your money. Please note we can only give refunds within seven days so please don't leave it any longer than that. If you have an old style dial-up modem connection we do not recommend you subscribe as even for the downloads it will be way too slow.
